Know About How Barcode Scanner And Printer Work?

A barcode is a small, machine-readable image of a line (strip) that represents data that basically describes something about an object. There are basically two types of barcode.

1) Linear barcode 2) Matrix barcode (2D)

Barcode scanner: It is mainly used to read printed barcode / matrix symbols. It consists of a sensor, transducer, and decoder, which is a light source, lens and light sensor that converts optical pulses into electrical pulses.

The scanner "scans" the white and black lines or barcode elements and illuminates the code with a red light. A barcode scanning sensor identifies the reflected light from the lighting system and generates an analog signal with an alternating voltage indicating the intensity of the reflection.

The converter then converts the analog signal into a digital signal which is forwarded to the decoder. You can also get RFID & Barcode development services online by clicking here. One of the most significant factors in speeding up operations is the use of automation and tracking.

The decoder then interprets the digital signal, confirms and confirms that the barcode can be decrypted, converts it to ASCII text, formats the text and sends it to the system to which the scanner is connected.

There are several types of barcode scanners:

• Barcode / matrix slot card scanner

• Horizontal scanner

• Vertical scanner

• The wand scanner

• Weapon scanner

• Image scanner

• Laser scanner
